Halloween is an extremely fun time for most of us because we can become anyone that we want to on this one night and not a single person will look at you funny so why not live the dream (or mockery) by suiting yourself and a friend (or loved one) in famous couples costumes. With some thought and creativity, you'll be on the fast track to fame and candy goodness.

A traditional couple is a team or family. A wife and ex-husband like Britney and Kevin Federline, a daughter and son duo like Jack and Kelly Osbourne – those are real duos or couples. But why not let yourself out of the box a little bit and think about other things that go together, perhaps different pairs like Ozzy and his Bat or a 1980's Nerd with a cheerleader. After all, this is Halloween, a time for candy and pranks and just having a good time.

In short, does a famous couple have to mean they were married or even related? Of course not! A famous couple is any two objects or people that are noticeable. They need to be together in some form more often then not.

Being stuck watching the candy bowl or the kids as they have all the fun can be boring. Spice up the evening and work on getting you and your wife or husband, next door neighbor or whoever on the bandwagon to a tag team costume. Famous couples costumes aren’t all that hard to think of and you can certainly buy celebrity costumes at any Halloween retailer, online or locally. Some pairings may be tricky, but with a little planning and creativity you can make the costumes yourself. If the characters were set in a certain time period, all it may take is the right clothing and some hair gel. More interesting costumes will have to take some work.

These ideas can be very humorous but can also be toned down to just being what it is: a famous person.

• Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: Dress up nice, grab a spikey wig and a long black hair wig and some shades to round out Brad Pitt. If you want to go humorous then consider giant wax lips for Angelina and a couple baby dolls and strollers strapped together.

• Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd: Their looks are pretty easy to simulate. You can humorous this up by talking in tongues as Mary Todd and if you don’t mind picking fun at a tragedy maybe a bullet hole in the top hat.

• Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana: This could be a fun one if you want to study the two personalities and works even better if you happen to be twins. The same idea can apply to the Olson twins.
