Kids Bunny Costume Considerations
Although an Easter Bunny costume for a child provides a great photo opportunity and can be fun for the child, there are a few considerations parents or caregivers may want to think about. These include:
- The weather and temperature: heavy costumes can overheat a child when worn for extensive periods of time.
- Comfort: a bunny bunting may look adorable as an infant costume, but check to make sure the material is not abrasive or irritating to a child’s skin.
- Ease of movement: if your child will be wearing the costume for an event such as an egg hunt, parade, or other activity, make sure the bunny costume is not so bulky as to impede movement.
In addition to full bunny body suits, there are may comfortable and cute options for kids, such as Easter girl bunny dresses, bunny ear and tail sets, or even simple white or pink sweats that can be dressed up with a bit of felt or fabric paint for a cute kids’ bunny suit for Easter.

When I was 17 and worked at a dept. store, one day they called me to the office and asked if I could work on an upcoming Sunday. Then, the manager asked what size I wore -- that was unusual. Only once I had confessed to being a size 7/8 (those were the days!) and that I had committed to the work schedule... did they tell me that I would be the Easter Bunny at the store's "breakfast with the bunny" event...
