Disneys Snow White Princess Costumes
From LoveToKnow Costumes
You don't have to be a little girl to discover the fun of dressing up in one of Disney's Snow White princess costumes. Some of the first outfits you run across will probably actually be for adults if you do a Google search rather than hitting the Halloween aisle of your favorite stores.
The Look: What They're Made Of
Disney's Snow White princess costumes generally have the same look: yellow skirt, blue bodice with puffy sleeves and red accents, a black bob with headband or bow, and optional tights. Adult costumes may be a bit racier than the "real" Snow White ever was, with a shorter skirt and thigh highs held in place with a garter belt. Overall, though, the look is the same, no matter what your age or image you want to present.
Finding Disney's Snow White Princess Costumes
It's incredibly easy to find your own Disney-inspired Snow White costumes. Disney princesses always make a comeback every year, and Snow White is a classic, just like Cinderella and Belle. Whether you're really young or just young at heart, here are a few costumes to get you started. Here's to hoping you get candy and not apples while you're out trick-or-treating!
- The Snow White Infant Ballerina Costume comes in size 12-18 months. You get a blue stretch leotard and a tutu.
- The Snow White Costume-Standard is more expensive, and a bigger size, than the infant costume. This one fits girls size 7-8 and includes a dress, apron, and hair bow.
- The Snow White Costume-Child Prestige is a masterpiece. She'll be the apple of the prince's eye in this full ball gown. The bodice is even higher-quality than most of Disney's Snow White princess costumes—it's blue velvet. This one comes in sizes 4-6 and 7-10.
- An Adult Snow White Costume-Deluxe is for the raciest of us all and includes a velvet dress, a choker, and a hair bow. You'll have to buy your own stockings and garter belt.
- A Snow White Pet Costume will allow you to dress your dog in style. You get a bodice, sleeves, cape, and headband. It's available in sizes small and medium.
- Yandy has another naughty Snow White outfit. And here is another from Pin-Up Girl Clothing. Who knew Snow White was such a party girl?
- The Child Disney Princess Snow White Costume takes us back to the innocent side of things with toddler and child sizes. Costume Craze also has wigs and jewelry available to complement the attire.
Accessories to Consider
While it's always nice to have your very own prince at hand, or at least seven hunky guys dressed as dwarfs (if you're a single adult woman), there are some other accessories you may want to consider adding:
- An apple
- A black bob wig (assuming you don't naturally have this 'do)
- Red lipstick
- False eyelashes
- A friend willing to dress up like the evil queen
- A hair ribbon/bow
- Pink blush for rosy cheeks
Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, Out You Go
Now that you're ready with your costume and your accessories, it's time to have fun! Whether you're a little girl, a grown woman, or an unfortunate pet made to wear clothing, you're bound to look beautiful. Here are a few tips for getting the most of your costume, for the longest amount of time:
- That red lipstick? Try a long-lasting formula. It'll stay on through scarfing chocolate, drinking punch, talking, sweating, freezing—whatever!
- Make sure your face is clean and dry before applying your blush. It'll last longer that way.
- Your yellow skirt should be reflective if you're out trick-or-treating, but always use caution anyway when crossing the road or walking on the street at all. Walk against traffic so you can see what's coming.
- Keep an eye out for handsome princes!
